‘Occupational Safety & Health Workshop’

I congratulate this initiative of the Department of Environment, Science & Social Sustainability in bringing together existing students, past students and academic staff to commemorate the World Health & Safety Day. The International Labour Organisation calls for participation of all member states and institutions in this international day on 28 April to create awareness of safety and health at the workplace. This year’s theme is Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in a green economy that is protecting workers who have to work with green technologies. I wish the Department of Environment, Science and Social Sustainability of the UTM plenty of success in its endeavours towards not only teaching sustainable concepts, but also orienting itself towards research aimed at sustainability in all respects.

  1. That seems like a great workshop. It is really good to know that a lot of companies are now providing such safety training as it is one of the things that a lot of employees and workers need.
