‘Visit of delegation from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Delhi’

During my visit to India in January 2011, I had discussions with the Minister of Human Resource Development, Mr. Kapil Sibal on the possibility of setting up an IIT-like institution in Mauritius. It was agreed that a high level delegation from IIT Delhi would visit Mauritius to look at the feasibility of implementing such a project here. A six member delegation headed by Professor M. Balakrishan arrived in Mauritius yesterday and paid courtesy call upon me.
