‘Opening Session of the Inventors’ Open Day’

This is the second Inventors’ Open Day that the MRC is organising to promote the awareness and use of Intellectual Property (IP) in Mauritius. The Initiative of the MRC Technology Transfer Office (MRC-TTO) is to promote greater use of IP among researchers, businesses entrepreneurs and innovators. My Ministry is working in close collaboration with other Ministries and stakeholders to proactively strengthen the IP regime, and a key step in this direction is the move towards a revised and updated IP legislation for Mauritius. It is part of my Ministry’s and MRC's efforts to bring together different stakeholders in the IP industry, to discuss and exchange insights and trends on IP use, management and commercialisation. As host of this event, the MRC-TTO is committed to foster such dialogue as well as facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange.
