‘International Conference on Sustainable Manufacturing and Operations Management’

I would like to thank the University of Mauritius for the invitation to address this forum - it looks to be a very promising discussion and I am delighted that such a platform has been co-organised in Mauritius by the University of Mauritius and the Global Institute of Management and Emerging Technologies of India. I have the pleasure to welcome the delegates from India and from other countries who are here to share their experience in the field of Sustainable manufacturing and operation management. It is interesting to note that the sound use of operations management techniques would lead to higher productivity and better use resources. In order to be part of that world of production, we need to succeed in the area of development training, self-learning and other pathways by acquiring technological expertise.
I congratulate the organisers for this initiative and the great effort they have put in and also to the participants who have showed so much interest.
