‘National Forum on Youth and Entrepreneurship’

It was a pleasure to be at the Official Opening of the National Forum on Youth and Entrepreneurship, an event that focuses on the important issues of youth entrepreneurship and innovation. To my young friends, I would say that being innovative and entrepreneurial is to be willing to devote yourselves fully and unreservedly to making your business ideas a reality. More than ever our country needs its young citizens to stand up and showcase their inherent creativity. We must all remember that the business leaders and entrepreneurs of tomorrow are the youth of this country; our young students; our young scholars, our young businessmen. Today’s students are going to shape our future tomorrow. So it is our duty to do our best to shape their education today. My Ministry, in accordance with the vision of the Government of Mauritius, continues to place significant emphasis on the young people of the nation. The objective of my Ministry is to point toward the building of a knowledge society and an innovative society.  I would like to emphasize that this event cannot only influence the future generations and inheritors of this country, but also benefit our economic recovery.
