I launched the 18th International Conference on Learning, held at the Paul Octave Wiehe, Réduit. I am very pleased that the University of Mauritius was chosen for hosting a conference of such high calibre and international standard. I also wish to commend the African Network for Policy Research and Advocacy for Sustainability (ANPRAS) and the Virtual Centre for Innovative Learning Technologies (VCILT) for the excellent organisation here in Mauritius and congratulate their teams for the smooth confluence of more than 300 participants worldwide to debate, share and eventually work together on truly ground-breaking themes significant to our vision of making Mauritius a knowledge hub. I wish Participants, rich exchanges, productive debates, and fruitful deliberations! I welcome all delegates to our paradise island and hope that they will all feel at home here.
