I was at an ‘Interactive Session’, on the occasion of the ‘Caravane de la Science’, visiting the Prof. Basdeo Bissoondoyal College at Flacq. It gives me an immense pleasure, when I see students and professionals organising and attending such events that will allow them to increase their knowledge in science, which is in fact very important for the development of our young and talented scientific minds. Organising the “Caravane de la Science” is indeed a very laudable initiative which encourages our students to consider a career as scientists and researchers and paves the way towards the creation of a technological base for the Mauritian Society. I therefore, congratulate the Rajiv Gandhi Science Centre in presenting our younger generation with the necessary platform for building a culture of creativity and innovation in Science and its related issues. I wish all students all the best, as they pursue their passion in Science and Technology. I am confident that they will rise to meet the challenge and be a significant part of our nation’s human capital to realize a prosperous and vibrant nation.
