“Caravane de la Science” - Sir Leckraz Teelock SSS

I was at an Interactive Session on the occasion of the “Caravane de la Science” visiting Sir Leckraz Teelock SSS, Flacq. It gives me an immense pleasure when I see students and professionals organising and attending such events that will allow them to increase their knowledge in science which is in fact very important for the development of our young and talented scientific minds. My sincere thanks go to the Ministry of Education and Human Resources, the Rajiv Gandhi Science Centre, the Sir Leckraz Teelock SSS and all stakeholders. I would also like to impress upon the rectors and teachers to motivate their students to participate in such kind of activities. I wish all students all the best as they pursue their passion in Science and Technology. I am confident that they will rise to meet the challenge and be a significant part of our nation’s human capital to realize a prosperous and vibrant nation.

‘Workshop on the implementation status of the “Guidelines for student charter in post-secondary educational institutions”’

I proceeded to the launching of a workshop on the implementation status of the “Guidelines for student charter in post-secondary educational institutions”.
The purpose of the student charter is to provide well-structured processes through which students and staff can work together, so as to enhance and support the learning and research experience at the institutional level and create an enjoyable and appropriate environment in which to study and work. The guidelines for the student charter explain exactly what a student can expect of an institution and, in return, what an institution can expect from a student. This workshop provides the ideal platform to discuss about the status of the student charter with the TEC and to clear out any issues/constraints that they may have encountered so far in developing their own charter. I would like to thank the Tertiary Education Commission and all those who have contributed in one way or another in organizing this workshop.
