I congratulate the UoM Students' Union and the UoM Students' Engineering Society and Science Society, as well as the Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Science, for organising this Engineering and Science Career Oriented Fair 2012 for the third time. I would like to invite these two Faculties and the students to go a step further by getting involved with and support initiatives that allow primary aged students to participate in science and technology. These activities should be designed to be fun and motivational, showcasing science and technology as part of everyday life and relevant to everyone. I would like to thank the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Science and the students for their contribution in arousing greater interest for science and engineering among young people, through this career fair.
