‘Working session between my ministry, University of Geneva and University of Mauritius for the setting up of a school of Medicine’

 

 

I had a working session with Prof. Jean Louis Carpentier, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Ildiko Szanto, both from the University of Geneva and Dr. M. Manraj, Project Leader of the University of Mauritius reviewed the progress made to date on the implementation of the project. I was informed that a memorandum of understanding (MOU) will be signed in June 2012 and the official launching of the school of Medicine will be made in December this year. The school of medicine will welcome its first cohort of medical students in August 2013.Preliminary discussions were held for collaboration with the University of Geneva for the setting up of a public Dental School.
