Collaborative Mauritius Network: “One Year Down the Road”

 

 

 I was very happy to be at the wonderful venue in the final Collaborative Mauritius Network 2011 and to give the support of my Ministry, to the Collaborative Mauritius Network initiative.  This long awaited initiative aims at fostering cross collaboration between key Mauritian public sector institutions and organisations. “Collaborative Mauritius” in its actions has so far proven its importance as an overall mechanism for the identification of Innovative projects of commercial potential.  It is via the collaborative efforts of this network that the research-industry ’gap’ can be narrowed for the benefit of the economy and enhancement of our knowledge base. I envisage the Collaborative Mauritius Network Initiative to set the new standards for Innovation in this country and lead it to new heights.  In parallel, Collaborative Mauritius will also serve to promote a fundamental and important innovative mindset change necessary for the running of an innovation platform that propel Mauritius into an exciting Future.
