  I invited his Excellency Mr. Alain Joyandet, Secretaire chargé de la Coopération et de la Francophonie auprès du Ministère des Affaires étrangères et Européennes de la République de France together with his delegation and other eminent personalities, in a ‘ planting of a tree ceremony ‘ at the University of Mauritius, Réduit .Dr the Hon.R.Jeetah Minister of Tertiary Education, Science, Research and Technology discussed further issues of common interest with the French Minister most particularly in the tertiary sector and the forthcoming establishment of the ‘ Sorbonne University’ in Mauritius.
