‘Talking about Science’ at St Esprit College
“Talking about Science” is a programme that provides a
platform to learn and develop an understanding of science and the role and
impact it has in our lives. Inventions, discoveries, state of the art
technologies, facts, science topics and so many other items are discussed interactively
with the students to build an understanding of what it means to know science
and make sense of the world around us.
‘Graduation Ceremony of Whitefield Business School’
Congratulations to all the graduands for their
success in their studies. Their family members, parents and specially their
teachers need to be thanked and remembered on this day as they have also contributed
to their success. I am informed that one student T. Beeharry has achieved the
prestigious Roll of Honour Award from NCC Education and one student V. Nowbut, for
securing both the Roll of Honour and Regional High Achiever Award from NCC
education. Special congratulations to
the two young people who are toppers among
students in 50 countries. Such outstanding performance is a positive
sign for our higher education sector in Mauritius. Some people may believe or
not believe in our vision of developing a knowledge based economy, but each day
demonstrates that we are gradually moving towards this vision. Our efforts are
bringing results. Students have a huge responsibility now. As said by the
legendary Nelson Mandela : “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can
use to change the world.” I urge you now to go out in the world and make a
difference. What is most important now for you is to implement what you have
learnt. I would like to share this beautiful quote which says: “Good students +
good Teachers = Good Nation”. Wish you all the very best in life and
congratulations once again.
