Hon. Bonginkosi Nzimande, Minister of
Higher Education and Training South Africa, actually in Mauritius for the 18th
CCEM Conference was invited for a planting of tree at the University of
Mauritius.
I met with Minister Purandeshwari,
Minister of State for Human Resource Development of India and others to discuss
cooperation between India and Mauritius in the field of Higher Education,
Science and Technology.
I met with a delegation from South
Africa headed by Dr the Hon. Bonginkosi Nzimande, Minister of Higher Education
and Training, to discuss future collaboration with South African Higher
Education Institutions.
I met His Excellency Kamalesh Sharma, Secretary General of
Commonwealth to discuss the strengthening of the fellowship programmes and the
creation of an e-platform for ministers of Education of Commonwealth countries
for better connectivity.
