I launched the ‘Collaborative Mauritius (CM) Network Connector Development Programme’ today at the Mauritius Research Council (MRC).The Collaborative Mauritius (CM) Network is a platform for Innovative Mauritians minds from Academia, Research and Businesses. Mr G. Kearney, CEO of Connected Knowledge and co-founder of Innovation Exchange (IXC) and Ms Tess Julian, Director of Development at Innovation Exchange (IXC) from Australia, will assist us in overcoming this hurdle of cross-institutional communication and operation by identifying necessary programmes we need to put in place in order to make our new Innovation System sustainable over the long term.

I was at the launching of the International Conference on ‘Slave Trade, Slavery & Transition to Indenture in Mauritius & the Mascarenes 1715-1848’ and of a ‘Slave Trade Inventory and Database’ by Dr the Hon. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, GCSK,FRCP, Prime Minister held at the Prof. Sir Edouard Lim Fat Engineering Tower, University of Mauritius.
