I was at the Conferment of the Degree of Doctor of Civil Law honoris causa upon Her Excellency Smt. Pratibha  Devisingh Patil, President of the Republic of India, in presence of His Excellency Sir A. Jugnauth, President of the Republic of Mauritius, the Prime Minister, Dr the Hon. N. Ramgoolam, GCSK, FRCP and other eminent personalities.

I attended a lecture on, ‘Graphene & Carbon Nanotubes: Rising Stars of Nanotechnology’, by Prof. A. K. Sood, Indian Institute of Science, Banglore, India and ‘Recent Advances in Process Systems Engineering: A Process Integration Perspective’, by Prof. T. Majozi, University of Pretoria, South Africa organised by the Mauritius Research Council.
